The divers of the Italian Navy in the diving field, together with the divers,

are part of the Underwater Operating Group (GOS),

a specialized force of the Navy appointed to conduct underwater operations

complex and specialized in the remediation of mines and unexploded orders found at sea,

in technical interventions at deep altitudes and in rescue and technical support for submarine crews.
